Congratulations are in order to Reto Peter, an alumnus of this youth platform, who engineered the album The Movement, by Alphabet Rockers that received a Grammy Award® on Feb 5, 2023!
2 other Jazzaar-associated albums that were also nominated for the 2023 Grammy Awards® did not win the final round. These are Remembering Bob Freedman by Ron Carter & The Jazzaar Festival Big Band under the category of ‘Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album’ and “Shuruaat” with Jazzaar alumni Lydia and Sharon Renold in the Berklee Indian Ensemble under ‘Best Global Music Album’.
Congratulations all the same to the Jazzaar participants and alumni involved in both projects upon their Grammy nominations.
