Bassist – The Jazzaar Festival Latin Band

Shashank Das is an Upright & Electric Bass player from Delhi, India. At the moment he is studying at Jazzcampus Basel with renowned musicians such as Larry Grenadier, Banz Oester, Mark Turner, Jeff Ballard, and Jorge Rossy. Formerly he also studied with Petros Klampanis & Neil Swainson to name a few. He regularly plays with various ensembles around Basel as well as the Jazzcampus Big Band. Shashank has extensively toured all across India & Netherlands playing with various ensembles with a multitude of musicians. He has recorded for many Netflix & Amazon Prime series as well as for various musicians in India & Europe. At the moment he is focussing on learning from all directions woodshed, school, and the bandstand as well as writing music for his double horn quintet set to debut later this year.
