
Nikita Sipiagin
Alto & Soprano Saxophonist – The Jazzaar Festival Latin Band
Nikita Sipiagin is a twenty two year old Jazz Saxophone player, improviser, and arranger from New York in the United States. Nikita is currently in his second year at Jazz Campus in Basel, Switzerland, working on completing a bachelor degree in Jazz Performance. He has studied and learned from some of the most renowned teachers in the Jazz community, including Larry McKenna, Mark Turner, Antonio Hart, Ted Nash, Dick Oatts.
“I feel very privileged to be accepted into Jazzaar and to have the opportunity to learn from and play with these amazing coaches as well as young musicians. I hope to gain a better understanding of Cuban music and to network with everyone involved in the program.”
