Trumpet – Swiss Youth Jazz Orchestra

Nicola received his first trumpet lessons at the age of 8. After graduating from high school with a major in music, Nicola completed the Swiss Military Music Recruit School and has since been a member of the Swiss Army Big Band.

In 2017, he began his studies at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, Jazz Department. There he studied with the likes of Matthieu Michel, Bert Joris, Ralph Alessi and Stephan Geiser.

Following his bachelor’s degree in autumn 2020, Nicola is currently continuing his education with a master’s degree in music education.

Nicola regularly performs with a variety of bands in different styles at home and abroad. These include:
Pfistermen’s Friends Streetband, Swiss Jazz Orchestra, Pepe Lienhard Big Band, Matt Stämpfli Big Band, Error 404: Band not found, Max Jendly Big Band and many more….
