If you’d like to support our cause without a membership subscription, we would welcome a
one time donation of any amount for music arrangements and workshops throughout the year.
Commissioning Compositions & Arrangements (Goal: CHF 24’000.-)
It is central to Jazzaar Festival’s ‘Bandstand Learning’ music education concept to provide youth the opportunity of apprenticing with professionals on the bandstand or recording studio, playing original compositions and brand new arrangements.
We are striving to fund 24 pieces of compositions/arrangements for the next annual Jazzaar Festival. Help us meet our target sum with your kind contribution, small or large to collaborate with us in commissioning new music for our times.
Free Music workshop 001 for horn players (CHF 300.- will enable 1 workshop)
Participating in workshops conducted by seasoned musicians is most beneficial for emerging artists pursuing a life with music. During our workshops many a secret of the musical trade is received and applied. Through your individual contribution, small or large, the emerging musician could have the opportunity to learn directly from a respected saxophone or trumpet giant of the world in the casual camaraderie of a workshop setting. As of 2020, the COVID-19 precautional regulations are complied to accordingly in conducting the workshops.
Free Music workshop 002 for drummers & percussionists (CHF 300.- will enable 1 workshop)
Participating in workshops conducted by seasoned musicians is most beneficial for emerging artists pursuing a life with music. During our workshops many a secret of the musical trade is received and applied. Through your individual contribution, small or large, the emerging musician could have the opportunity to learn directly from one of the drums and percussion greats of the world, in the camaraderie of a workshop setting. Free Music workshop 003 on Jazz Improvisation (CHF 300.- will enable 1 workshop)
Musical improvisation is a creative skill that when fostered early in budding young musicians, may develop in them deeper levels of musicality. At our workshops and clinics the workings of this musical skill are discovered and applied by music students under the guidance of a role model. Through your individual contribution, small or large, the emerging artist could have the opportunity to learn directly from one of the legendary improvising Jazz masters, in the camaraderie of a workshop setting. As of 2020, the COVID-19 precautional regulations are complied to accordingly in conducting the workshops.
